Product Description

The Thermo Scientific Cimarec analog stirring hot plate has a white ceramic top plate, a temperature range of 150 to 538 degrees C, and a speed range of 100 to 2,500 rpm. The white ceramic top plate provides fast heating and resistance to chemicals and scratches, and it reaches maximum temperature in not up to eight minutes. It has analog temperature regulate and speed regulate with knobs. The integrated ring stand mount holds a 1/2-inch diameter rod (sold one by one). This stirring hot plate is used to heat glassware and heat and mix liquid solutions for scientific applications.

The Cimarec stirring hot plate is to be had in two top plate sizes: 4.25 x 4.25 inches and 7.25 x 7.25 inches (W x D). (W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) The cast aluminum body is shaped to direct liquid or sample material away from the internal components in case of a spill. It comes with a tetrafluoroethylene-coated stir bar.

Laboratory hot plates are electric or gas-fired benchtop appliances which can be used to heat glassware or its liquid or solid contents. Stirring hot plates can stir a liquid solution by the use of a stir bar that may be spun magnetically throughout the vessel holding the solution. Hot plates are repeatedly used in scientific research, clinics, and classrooms.
